Summer Cocktails
We just updated our cocktail repository, so check it out for new summer cocktail ideas, such as:

The White Lady with Sol
The "White Lady" was popular in the 1930's, and was developed in the 1920's in Europe. This version uses our new spirit, Sol.
2 oz Sol
½ oz Cointreau
½ oz fresh lemon juice
1 egg white
Shake ingredients well without ice first, then add ice and shake thoroughly. Strain into chilled coupe glass. Garnish with fresh lemon or orange peel.

Hum Blush
2 oz Distiller's Gin No. 11
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 oz hum liqueur
1/2 oz Raspberry Simple Syrup
Dash of Grapefruit Bitters (Scrappy's)
Shake ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a fresh raspberry.

Notes from the Land of Drinks

Wine On Tap
This new trend might give "kegger" a whole new meaning.

No Liquor Tax Refund for You
Unfortunately the Supreme Court of Illinois ruled for the Governor, so no one will be getting a refund of the massive liquor taxes adopted a couple of years ago.

Liquor Distributor Influence
Interesting to note just how much liquor wholesalers donate to public officials. "Dwarfs" the rest of the industry.

Trouble in Minnesota
Bars are running out of drinks because of the government shutdown, and MillerCoors may have to pull their beer off the shelf. First part bad, second part, um...

Cucumbers are Good
And you should put them in your drinks, too. Check out number 6 on this list and try our our Cucumber Sol.
