May 2012 News & Notes Distillery Doings We are gearing up for summer, with updates coming this weekend to our online cocktail repository and event calendar. At the tasting room, we've also recently announced our new partners for the "Cocktails for a Cause" program - PADS Shelter of Lake County, BENNU Legal Services, and Orphans of the Storm. With every purchase you make, we give a portion of our proceeds to the organization you choose. We are HIRING! We have three current openings and are in the midst of our recruiting process. We need some fun, energetic people for our tasting room, some hands-on help in production, and a full-time sales and marketing person. Find all the details on the openings, and how to apply, here. Please tell your friends! Visit the Distillery! Our tasting room is open on Fridays from 4 to 8 pm and Saturdays from 2 to 8 pm, and we offer distillery tours by reservation on Saturdays at 2 & 4 pm. You can also stop by anytime Monday through Friday 10-5 to pick up a bottle. Tasting Room Updates We've got a second newsletter now with updates solely about the tasting room. Delicious Spring Cocktails These great drinks were featured in our tasting room recently, and were developed by members of our tasting room team. Sue's Sour (by Sue) 2 oz North Shore Vodka or Distiller's Gin No. 6 1 oz Fresh Lime ¾ oz Simple Syrup (1:1) 1 oz Egg White 4-5 drops Bittercube Cherry Vanilla Bark Bitters Combine all ingredients in shaker and shake without ice first. Then add ice, and shake hard. Strain into coupe glass and place additional two drops of bitters on top. The Go Green Splash (by Avis) 2½ oz Sol Chamomile Citrus 1 oz Mint Simple Syrup ½ oz Fresh Lime Juice Club Soda Add Sol, syrup, and lime juice to ice filled shaker, shake well.
