Happy New Year! We hope your new year is off to a great start. We are busy with year-end wrap ups and planning for the new year. Here are a few updates.
Eldergin - 2011 Limited Release
Our 2011 limited release hit the shelves and bars last month, and the response has been amazing. If you haven't tried it yet, or you want some more, here's a list of where you can find it. And, the Chicago Tribune wrote a great piece about it - did you see it?
New Year, New Cocktails at the Tasting Room
We've just introduced a new cocktail menu for the Tasting Room, and will resume our weekly cocktail specials this week. Stop by soon and see what's new!
As a reminder, our tasting room is open on Fridays from 4 to 8 pm and Saturdays from 1 to 6 pm, and we offer distillery tours by reservation on Saturdays at 2 and 4 pm. You can stop by anytime Monday through Friday 10-5 to pick up a bottle, t-shirt or hat.
Please note - the Distillery will be closed Thursday February 2nd through Monday February 6th.

Upcoming Events
Thurs Jan 26 - Cocktail Dinner at Uncommon Ground in Chicago (Clark St. location) at 6 pm. Please call the restaurant (773-929-3680) to make your reservation.
Weds Feb 8 - Chicago Distiller's Night at Jerry's Sandwiches in Chicago from 7 to 10 pm. For a $10 entry fee you can sample local, craft-distilled spirits and meet the amazing people who create them!
Fri Feb 10 - In-Store Tasting at Galleria Liqueurs in Chicago (Wells St. location) from 5 to 7 pm
Sat Feb 18 - Distill America at the Edgewater Hotel in Madison, WI. $55 / VIP admission is $65. Tickets are available here at the Distillery.
Thurs Feb 22 - Spirited Dinner at Prasino in Chicago from 7 to 9 pm. Tickets are $48/person, and the menu looks amazing. Please call the restaurant (312- 878-1212) to make your reservation.
And, we're working on a bunch of really great events for the rest of the Spring, as well as an event calendar for the tasting room - stay tuned!

Delicious Winter Cocktails
Remedy Toddy
by Jon Palmer at Heartland in St. Paul, MN
2 oz Aquavit - Private Reserve
1/2 oz Benedictine
1/2 oz Honey Syrup
1/2 oz Fresh Lemon
3-4 oz hot water
Combine ingredients in a mug, stir. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Ten Cent Pistol
By J. Bestul, North Shore Tasting Room
1 oz Cognac
1 oz North Shore Eldergin
1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
Dash simple syrup
Shake ingredients with ice, strain into champagne flute. Top with champagne, garnish with lemon twist.
