Unbelievable Rhubarb & Ginger Gin

Continuing the tradition we began last year, we created yet another unusual but incredible new single-batch spirit. We released the first bottles to the market on July 30, 2007.

Rhubarb Straight from the Farm

We made our way to Red Barn Farm in Woodstock, IL for 150 pounds of fresh rhubarb. How fresh was it? It was harvested at 7am; we picked it up at 8:30am and prepared the entire batch in one day (it was a long day). We infused the rhubarb with our award-winning Distiller's Gin No. 6, and added fresh ginger root for another dimension of flavor. The result is an incredible new gin, the likes of which have never been seen on the market before.

The color and flavor of Rhuginger No. 6 come solely from the rhubarb, ginger and gin. No flavorings, extracts or sweeteners were used. This creation was very labor intensive and time consuming, but the resulting gin is fresh, flavorful and a lot of fun to drink.

Tasting Notes & Recipes

You'll notice fresh rhubarb and ginger in the aroma, along with the rich spices in Gin No. 6. At first sip, you'll taste fresh, tart rhubarb, followed quickly by spice and ginger. The spices will linger, fading back to a fresh rhubarb flavor with ginger tones. We recommend trying this spirit over one ice cube, which allows the fresh rhubarb flavor to really shine.

This spirit is great on the rocks or with a simple splash of soda and simple syrup. We've also developed some great recipes for Rhuginger No. 6.

Get it Now - Where to Find It

Like 2006's date and tea-infused gins, this is a limited release spirit. We only made one batch, and once the bottles are gone, they're gone. Those of you who get an opportunity to taste and enjoy this spirit are members of a very exclusive club.
